Tackle tangles and knots first before proceeding to brush all over!

STEP 1

Glide your hands over your pet’s coat to feel where tangles are located. Dispense a dollop of Conditioner around the area of each knot or tangle. Follow the directions for the product you’re using. It should loosen knots and tangles in just a few minutes.

STEP 2

Once softened and easier to manage, carefully brush your pet’s fur with an Undercoat Rake for removing knots. Your pet might become agitated, as the pulling can be painful. Try to minimize the pain as much as possible and don’t forget to comfort your fur baby.

STEP 3

Can’t loosen or comb a particular knot or tangle? Grab a pair of Grooming Scissors and gently cut it loose. Make sure you first feel how far the knot is from the skin, as to avoid contact. Once you’ve cut around the knot, pick up a comb and see if you can brush it out.

STEP 4

If you are only having success undoing a portion of the knot because the rest of it is dry and stiff, try reapplying the conditioner before attempting to brush again. Once you’ve to remove the knot, pick up a Grooming Comb and see if you can brush it out.
